The beach
A beautiful & long thin sand beach stretching for 2 Km
as fare from cap Sim. Regularly visit by Moroccans in weekend
.she became virtually deserted on condition of move away. The
Atlantic winds blow regularly on Essaouira almost all the year,
so it’s not surprising that surfers come running from
all the word to take advantage of those favourable conditions.
You can rent a board; there is two tenants whit good material.
Also it’s very nice to take a little cup of the whit mint
in the beach restaurant & chalet terrace.
The port
Essentially consecrate to fishing, it’s one of the places
most animated in the city, especially after the boats return.
So the fish is sale by auction. A spectacle to not miss .we
could access to it by the customs post situated at the top of
the beach or by the medina’s door. The quays are transformed
in shipyard. You could see the construction of the boats all
in wood like they don’t do anywhere else. Their forms
are those of the old boats.
